Demilitarized Zone tour (also known as DMZ tour) is an ideal opportunity for you to witness the relics of the Vietnam war. The zone divided the North and South Vietnam and was the bloodiest and fiercest battlefield. It is estimated that a resident of this area had to suffer around 7 tons of bombs.All houses were fired, and thousands of people had to use tunnels for shelter or leave their homes.

Detailed Itinerary: Hue to DMZ by car
– Hotel pick-up recommended at 8:00 AM for departure.
– The first stop is Rockpile, Khe Sanh combat base, Vay village before reaching Ta Con airbase. Here, you can feel the thin line between life and death for both the Vietnamese and American troops. The base witnessed the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam war.
– The second stop is around 12:30 PM when we stop by Dong Ha city for local lunch. After lunch, we visit Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River, which marks the 17th parallel that connected the former North and South Vietnam in the Vietnam War. The place remains a painful symbol of the nation’s division and the Vietnamese’ everlasting desire for peace, national independence and reunification.
– The final stop is Vinh Moc Tunnels where you will be shocked to see how the entire village could survive and live well underground to shelter from intense bombing. The tunnels were not only for hiding fierceattacks but also for schooling, cooking, relaxing, and political discussions.A visit to Vinh Moc Tunnels will truly be an eye-opening chance to see what life was like for some of Vietnam’s most vulnerable residents during a painful time in history.
