Day 1 in Hue Itinerary
Our friendly driver will pick you up at Hue airport/ your hotel in Hue and start the first day trip visiting Hue ancient city.
– The Citadel – is one of Vietnam’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a must-see destination for tourists visiting a hidden charm of Vietnam. It is an enormous complex of palace that housed the last dynasty of Vietnam – the Nguyen Dynasty. Most of the majestic buildings in the Imperial City were well preserved and restored, despite harsh bombing during the Vietnam war, including massive halls, royal courtyards, manicured gardens…
– Thien Mu Pagoda – is one of the most mentioned iconic landmarks in Hue city. The pagoda is also famous as a sacred worshipping site and a popular photo spot for its romantic position beside the Perfume River.
– Dong Ba Market – a traditional Vietnamese market, a valuable trading center of Hue City for the local people. Dong Ba Market is an interesting place for travelers who seek cultural experience when visiting Hue ancient town. The market does not only give you plenty of good food choices from the street vendors but also a wide range of goods for different purposes and at reasonable prices.
– Minh Mang Tomb – Minh Mang’s royal tomb reflects the emperor’s staunch traditionalism, featuring a classical symmetrical Chinese lay-out like no other royal tomb. It is also renowned for the architecture that blends harmoniously with the natural surroundings.
– Khai Dinh Tomb – is the most aesthetic tomb that displays perfect fusion of Western and Eastern architecture. Khai Dinh tomb was heavily influenced by French architecture, using modern materials such as steel and reinforced concrete.
After that, our driver will drop you off at your hotel in Hue.
Day 2 in Hue Itinerary
– Abandoned Waterpark (at Thuy Tien Lake) – Located on Thien An hill, about 10 km from Hue city center to the Southwest, This abandoned water park hidden in the jungle has now become a spectacular destination for odd backpacker who is enamored with the idea of exploring something off the beaten track. You can get access to the park fairly easily and explore the cracked water slides, partially full aquarium tanks and the increasing creep of nature over the pathways and structures.
– Tu Duc Tomb – is the most popular, imposing and impressiveof the royal mausoleums which designed by Emperor Tu Duc. This Tomb becomes one of the buildings that make the charming beauty of Hue due to the unique architecture and perfect harmony with the natural landscape.
– Tu Hieu Pagoda – Located on shallow hills in Thuy Xuan Commune, Tu Hieu Pagoda is one of the most ancient pagoda in Hue city. It is not only a place for the monks to lead an awakening life but also for anyone who wishes to find a serene haven to escape from the busy life or to learn meditation.
– An Dinh Palace – Located in Nguyen Hue street, about 2km from Hue city center. It is one of the constructions in the palace system of Nguyen dynasty. An Dinh palace is a interesting site to visit due to the beauty of sophisticated decoration at Khai Tuong pavilion. This three-storey building was constructed in European style with modern materials.
– Thanh Toan Bridge – Located at Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy district, Thua Thien Hue province, about 8 km away from Hue city center. Thanh Toan Bridge was made of wood with the“a bridge under a house” structure, makes Thanh Toan Bridge different from others ancient bridges. The roof made from tiles and divided into 7 sections like 7 small rooms in a house. Inside the Bridge, tourists can see ancestral altar and traditional furniture.
– Thuan An Beach – is about 14km from Hue city center. Thuan An Beach is one of the most gorgeous beaches of the Vietnam Central. It is still a attractive and beautiful beach with long stretch of sand and especially impressive sunset. Additions, the road leading to Thuan An Beach from the city center is particularly poetic with the quaint countryside village views, interesting pagodas and immense rice paddies.
After visiting Thuan An Beach, the car will take you back and drop you off at your hotel in Hue/ Hue airport. Say goodbye and end of tour!
